BUILT TO YOUR SPECIFICATION
Configure the Stillpoints ESS Rack to optimize space needed, and the performance of each component. Each rack requires, two masts, two cross bars, and shelves configured with support bars, using your choice of acrylic, X Grids, or Rail Grids to complete each platform.
MASTS
Masts are tube assemblies that connect the cabling to the arms and legs. The height measurement is taken from the floor, to the top of the arm, and rounded to the nearest inch.
CROSS BARS
Two Cross Bars are required to connect the right and left masts to form a frame. The width specified with each set of cross bars, is the maximum space that a component will fit.
SUPPORT BARS
Support Bars are attached to the cables extending vertically between the arm and leg of the masts. Each cable is rated up to 2200 pounds before failure. Two support bars form the foundation for one shelf. The bars with technology pockets are designed to work with acrylic shelves, or X Grids, formerly called The Grids. The blank support bars facilitate the use of Rail Grids. The addition of Acrylic shelves, X Grids, or Rail Grids will accommodate the Ultra of your choice to complete the shelf assembly.
RAIL GRID
Until now, the ESS rack has been configured with each shelf level utilizing either an Acrylic Shelf, an X Grid, or a combination of both. The Rail Grid is the next generation of ESS performance upgrade.
The Rail Grids mount perpendicular to the front and rear support bars. On the underside, near the end of each Rail are machined slots, profiled to rest over the existing square dimension of the front and rear support bars. Once installed on the support bars, the Rails can slide laterally left and right to create a support frame ideal in width for the specific component to be used. Once the Rail Grid is in position to supra the component, turn the thumb screws to tighten the Rail Grid into place. This renders a tight shelf assembly.
Channels in the top of each rail hold T-nuts that can be moved forward or back as needed to adjust for depth of a component. Attach an Ultra of your choice, from Ultra Mini to Ultra 6, to the T-nuts and adjust the location of each, forward and back, to support your component. With the adjustments complete, a Rail Lock is supplied which will affix the rail firmly in place for ultimate stability.
Sonically, every aspect of the performance of the ESS is enhanced. Harmonic body and weight gives flesh to the musicians. The image is refined beyond anything we have done before.
The Rail Grid adds greater rigidity than the standard X Grid, supports heavier components more effectively, and allows greater flexibility for Ultra filter placement specific to each component while taking full advantage of the suspended isolation that is the hallmark of the ESS Equipment Rack.
The Rail Grid will fit any Stillpoints 3/4” support bar. If the technology pockets are in the way of the placement, then rotate the bar 180 degrees and you will have total freedom of placement.
ACRYLIC SHELF
The Acrylic Shelf accommodates components that need additional area for accessories, or a power supply in a limited space. The shelves come standard with a Set Screw Kit allowing for an efficient installation. When choosing to replace both of either the X Grids, or Rail Grids, on a 40″ Wide ESS rack, two short acrylic shelves will transform the platform to all acrylic.

The Ultra 5 V2 is one of our top products for loudspeakers with a 3000 pound weight limit per foot. It utilizes five technology pockets which gather vibrations from various angles to isolate the product from the environment more comprehensibly. The five technology pockets around the outside of the device make speakers simply disappear.
It is substantially bigger and heavier than the Ultra SS. There is no levelling component in the Ultra 5 V2 so if they are going under speakers, the Ultra Bases are very useful as they provide a degree of fine tuning, but if they are being installed on a perfectly level floor these won’t be needed.

With its 33 watts, the Sugden IA-4 has enough under the hood to comfortably drive normal loudspeakers in normal living rooms to deafening levels.

The Sugden IA-4 finally won me over with an ECM record: Sangam, a live recording of the Charles Lloyd (saxophone), Zakir Hussain (tabla), and Eric Harland (drums) trio. This is no light meal to easily digest as Lloyd unleashes some mind-blowing solos, and Hussain fires a barrage of fiery beats from his tabla. Actually, I only occasionally allow myself to listen to the incredible drum solo on the first track, otherwise the whole house would join in the party. The wealth of nuances and joyous details that the Sugden presents seems to seriously light up the highly complex music. It’s astonishing how easy it suddenly becomes to understand the dense rhythmic textures. And I have absolutely no desire to crank up the volume, as the three musicians’ musical passion gives me an endorphin rush just at room volume.
Wow! So much fun, and all it is is a well-known analog circuit principle with almost 50 years of continuous refinement under its belt. The Sugden IA-4 may project an air of typical British innocence on the outside, but there’s an unmistakably big beating heart under the cover that’s designed to do music some justice. This integrated amplifier is able to match up to the industry’s big hitters. And then some. I am extremely impressed.

With a US$10k price tag, these cables still provide a dramatic enough improvement to be worth the price asked. In every possible system configuration I could scratch together, the results are the same.
Value is a highly relative subject; cable is nearly always a hotspot and I admit to being more prejudiced against spending big money on it, yet the Tellurium Q Silver Diamond speaker cables deliver more music than anything I’ve yet experienced. I highly suggest auditioning them the next time you’re considering spending some money on a system upgrade.

Tellurium Q Ultra Black II is a remarkably coherent and ‘well-timed’ cable. It’s not the richest in tonal terms but more than makes up for this with an ability to make all manner of music sound engaging and enjoyable. It works with all sorts of music too, because it puts the message before the sound. Communication is the aim of the game and these TQs are a fine conduit.

Percussion, meanwhile, had a greater impact with a higher ‘shock’ value when each drum was hit while cymbals offered a broader splash when they were hit, giving the percussion a more important place within the mix. The surrounding brass, finally, featured a clean, rather shiny and brassy performance that added pizazz during crescendos.
The lowering of inherent and sonically damaging noise creates a generally improved suite of sonic frequencies that will serve any audiophile looking to upgrade from budget cables very well indeed. As you can see, even those of you who own the original Black cables should take a serious look at the new Black II cables.

Floated on Seismic Isolation Podiums, speakers are freed from the ever-present seismic activity and room/floor interactions that seriously degrade sound quality. The result is simply magical, allowing listeners to hear into their favourite music in a way they were never able to previously. When under your speakers, they will give you immediate improvements in overall sound by preventing speaker generated vibration from entering the floor and sound from entering your speakers. Maximum Supertweeters heighten the sense of realism in music by extending the frequency response of conventional hi-fi speakers up to 90kHz. Although this is way above the theoretical limit of human hearing the presence of these frequencies creates a sense of naturalness and reveals detail right down into the bass.

Maximum Supertweeters allow you to get utmost pleasure from both digital and analogue formats by accurately revealing high frequency detail above 6kHz. Even though a CD cannot produce information above 20kHz Maximum Supertweeters make the format sound more natural and reveal a wealth of extra detail when compared with dome tweeters. This is because of the much faster response of the ultra-light ribbon diaphragm when compared with the much slower response of a relatively heavy dome assembly.
The Maximum Supertweeter works from 6kHz upwards making it better able to produce the leading edge of each transient without time smear. That’s why it makes a system sound more relaxed and natural, as it can respond to the signal with greater speed and greater accuracy.
What surprises people the most is the extra detail that they hear in the bass. You might expect the greater sense of ease and openness which they introduce but the harmonic detail that is revealed across the entire audio band is nothing short of miraculous.
The Maximum Supertweeter is engineered to integrate with all high quality speakers with simple connection utilising the 1.5m link cables provided. The Supertweeters are wired in parallel with the main amplifier feed or the tweeter connection at the main speaker. There is a six position level switch which allows for seamless integration with your speakers.

After ten successful years, we felt it was now time for us to take the next step with our PHAROAH
Although almost the same size, the new Pharoah looks more petit than its predecessor due to the slight incline and beveled edges.
It perfectly combines engineering with fine craftsmanship.
A highly stable housing made of birch plywood is hidden under the finely sanded surface made of hand-picked veneers. Inside, it was stiffened at critical points and houses two chambers of different sizes in order to minimize standing waves.
Due to its special sound alignment, the new Pharaoh can be integrated even better into living spaces.
With its large 10-inch woofer, there are enough reserves even for huge sound storms. The paper membrane is coated with our special violin varnish delivers a nimbly and natural sound, free of the resonances of synthetic materials.
The coaxially mounted 1-inch compression driver with a feather-light and high-strength titanium membrane fits seamlessly and well-balanced with the woofer.

The heart of this speaker is of course the perfectly matched crossover with carefully selected components from Mundorf.
It is the sensitive conductor of this ensemble, without whom a performance at this high level would not be possible.
