Wichdoctor review conclusion:
If I could award the Antipodes K21 two Gold badges I would, but sadly, one Gold badge is the highest accolade Witchdoctor has. I’ve never been more impressed with an audio product, and highly recommend that those looking for a genuine solution to their music streaming dilemmas audition an Antipodes product as soon as possible”…… Gary Steel

Server/Player
Employing just a single computer stage limits musical insight and detail when compared to their lot higher-priced models, but the Kala 21 excels in dynamics, natural timbre, saturated tonal density and immersive musical expression.

Performance
Presenting how real musicians sound in real spaces allows the music's message to get through with all of its creative potency. Discover more nuance in your favourite music, and immerse yourself in the artistry and passion that created each performance.

Technology
The Kala 21 employs a single computer to perform both the Server and Player stages, with state-of-the-art USB signal processing.

The computer power limitations of the Kala 21 mean it can not be used for DSP or to manage libraries over about 8TB. For the same reason, HQPlayer Server cannot be used on the K21. but in all other aspects this is a very serious player that would suit over 90% of audiophiles requirements.

Connections
Optional - insert a 2.5″ Sata SSD, clicks securely in place
USB Audio 2.0 Output
Ethernet Connection to Network on RJ45
Two Servicing Ports
Two USB Ports for USB Disks or K10 Rippe

Processing
The output signal is isolated, regenerated and reclocked using a state of the art USB circuit, equivalent to the Kala 22 USB output.

Upgrade Path
Adding a Kala 41 to a Kala 21 matches the functionality and performance of the Kala 50 USB output, adding layers of musical insight compared to using just a Kala 21, making this a very attractive upgrade option.
