These tubes appear to be designed from the ground up. They are better at dynamics and sonic neutrality than vintage (or reissue vintage) tubes while remaining ultra smooth and state-of-the-art detailed. This is 21st Century tube sound for the world’s best phono and SACD reproduction. You cannot go wrong running EAT 300Bs in any application. I could EAT this slice of audio heaven for breakfast, lunch, and dinner!

Hi Terry,
Just a quick note to inform you that both parcels (all 4 tubes) have arrived here safely at my residence, thank you very much.
The EAT 300B tubes have been fitted into my amps (Audio Note Kegons Monoblocs) and are in perfect working order and I must say that they are by far the best sounding 300B tubes I heard thus far.
Robert H. Levi - Positive Feedback issue 12
The EATs were just as detailed, with added punch and less overload/smear on big crescendos. They were less liquid, more neutral, and more dramatic, with softer softs and louder louds. They were a bit more exciting and powerful, and did a great job pulling me into the music. The EATs also sounded like they had lower distortion. They did not sound aggressive or crisp, just neutral, smooth, dynamic, and supremely detailed.
...the EATs did a better job driving the Paradigms while remaining enjoyable at all volume levels.
The smoothness and drive of these tubes was just plain exciting. They had no colorations I could point to, no lumps or bumps at any frequency, just lots of extension, power, texture, and precise imaging. The glass window between myself and the performance was crystal clear. The EATs were slightly vivid sounding on this recording as well, like 300Bs with KT88 cousins in the family. This seems to me to be the sound of a truly modern, newly-designed 300B—not your grandfather’s tube, not a copy of a copy, but something really new.

I love 300B amplifiers that can play with the push-pull big boys in erms of low coloration, frequency extension, and dynamic expressiveness, but they are few and far between. Same goes for their tubes. There are a number of brands on the market today, and they vary widely in cost and quality. But none that I have heard play music as convincingly as these EATs. So, prospective buyers need to make the choice between real music and a somewhat ersatz representation thereof. I choose the EATs.
With the EAT devices, the overall presentation is somewhat more transparent, better balanced, considerably more extended and not as overtly warm as most other 300Bs.
At the end of the day, with the EAT tubes, music is not artificially lovely or truncated in frequency response and the EATs certainly do not pull any punches in terms of dynamic expansion. The EAT tubes sound, to my ear, more like music than any other 300Bs I have heard, and that is what swayed me in the end. [more]
The EAT Cool Tube Dampers will Improve the Sound of any Tube Gear.
Our Comments:
The Cool Damper uses an ingenious and extremely effective vibration control system to effectively reduce tube vibration; this same system allows the Cool Damper to accommodate a large variety of input tubes with a range of diameters from 19.5 to 22 mm.
EAT Cool Valve inroduction:
Carefully chosen materials for our Cool Damper device allows using it as a truly effective vibration- -consuming damper. This results in reduced distortion from the tube circuit, as well as vastly reducing the tendency of most vacuum tubes to act in a microphonic manner. In addition, the sound from a component utilizing Cool Dampers can be heard to have more controlled and deeper bass, a cleaner sound stage, crisper and greater dynamic range, and better focus of the entire sound field.
The Cool Damper also reduces the operating temperature of the glass envelope of an electron tube by about 10 %, which of course acts to appreciably extend the lifetime of the tubes. [more]

This is the product tube-loving audiophiles have been waiting for. You know tubes are sensitive to vibration, but up until now the only devices available were either inexpensive rings that bonded to the tube or large, heavy dampers that did a great job but were extremely expensive and could not work on a variety of tubes. That's where the EAT Cool Damper comes in. Hi thanks for that Terry.
The EAT's (ECC803CV)are absolutely amazing, My EAR phono has had had, rare 5751's, Telefunkens and NOS CV4004 Mullards (which they replaced), and nothing has had such a massive effect on all aspects of music.
Everything is so much more focussed and assured.
The EAT's made the Mullards sound like they were totally shot.
The EAR has had a turbo bolted on... just like a new phono stage, and record collection to boot. I suspect that making changes this far up the signal change usually has the greatest effect, but this was like going up to a very expensive MC cartridge from a mid priced MM.
Expensive but Brilliant and Worth every penny.
Thanks very much.

These Tubes Will Beat Any NOS Tubes!
EAT 12AX7, ECC83, 7025 Type is the Best We've Heard!
The new European-built 12AX7 (ECC-803S) triode tube from EAT is absolutely unbelievable. We have tried them in everything from phono preamps to line stages and amplifi ers. The results have absolutely knocked us out! Built to the tightest tolerances, these tubes are super low noise – dead quiet actually! All tubes are burned-in, then tested to ensure perfect matching and thermal stabilization. The Cool Valve tubes include the EAT Tube Dampers for dissipating vibration, as well. Rated for a lifespan of 10,000 hours, these tubes have beat the pants off our NOS (New Old Stock) input tubes. Expensive but worth every penny… guaranteed!
EAT ECC803S introduction:
The Cool Valve ECC 803S is the fi nest twin triode with separate cathodes available in today’s market. Double triode means the valve is built with two totally independent triode systems. [more]
Many people prefer the sound of EAT ECC88 triodes tubes for their "soft" saturation characteristics which can be quite pleasing to the ear!

Maarten van Casteren - TNT-Audio
"The sound is better than more affordable valves in my Astin Trew CD player, with less noise and more music."
"When comparing the EAT valve to both other valves it always showed a clearly lower noise floor, enabling fine detail and acoustical cues to be heard more easily, and a cleaner and sweeter presentation overall. The whole spectrum seems to be extended a bit, with tighter and more tuneful bass and more air and detail at the top end.
There's also an improvement in dynamics and vitality and a more natural and less 'rushed' presentation. All of this without losing the nice warmth and clarity typical for valves."
EAT's stated goal is to be a manufacturer and distributor for the highest quality vacuum tubes and analogue high-fidelity products.
Features:
The EAT KT88 has a designed maximum anode dissipation rating of 35W and is recommended for use in the output stage of an a.f. amplifier. Two valves in class AB1 give a continuous output of up to 100W. The KT88 is also suitable for use as a series valve in stabilized power supply.

"Terry, thank you for suggesting the EAT KT88 valves, the improvement was immediately noticeable - a richer, more 'full-bodied' sound and a larger three-dimensional image. A very worthwhile upgrade." Warren

This is a comment of one Dutch reviewer after his first experience with new EAT KT88 Diamond in Primaluna - Premium Prologue.
,, What we hoped for, happened. The EAT tubes have become quite fast spectaculary good in the Premium ProLogue. I even have never heard with such a simple exchange of power tubes, so much difference with an amplifier. The Premium is growing simply above itself and there are very strong improvements to hear on all audiophile parameters. Fun, fun, fun! ,,

EAT believes that its combination of like-minded people from several countries can virtually guarantee a satisfying musical/technical solution, one close to its ultimate reference: live acoustic concerts and hence the absolute sound.
with the EAT KT-88s, their sound became much more involving, with even greater extension at the frequency extremes, and a greater sense of refinement in the whole presentation. Wide, wide dynamics were the order of the day, along with a finesse not usually associated with push-pull designs.
The difference in these amps with the EAT tubes over the Chinese “stockers” was dramatic.
now (with EAT KT88s) they had an extra measure of transparency, high-frequency extension, and a much tighter and well-defined midbass, with much more extended and controlled lower bass. Enough almost to defy logic. These tubes rule the Hurricane amps like nobody’s business.
They (EATS KT88s) are for people who want music reproduction that is closer both to what is actually on the recording and to what real music sounds like, these tubes are a must-hear. [more]

More glory for EAT KT-88 tubes
EAT's KT-88 tubes have received very favourable reviews in British hi-fi press. Now Ken Kessler found that they turbocharged his current budget reference amplifier PrimaLuna Prologue 2. "...the KT-88s astonish, offering gains in weight, midband and speed." He noticed that already excellent amp (for a budget component) gave an impression of increased wattage, bottom end was more convincing, and overall resolution went up "A big notch." According to review, there were much improved attack/decay capabilities, i.e. PrimaLuna gained speed. Sum-up: "...£600's worth of EATs can turn the £999 PrimaLuna into a reasonable facsilile of a £3000 amp...".
John O. - Audioayslum
The tonal balance of the EAT KT-88’s is neutral, with no emphasis in any area – mids are clean, well defined and open without any edge or harshness.
midbass is definitely more articulate, lower bass as well, the is the deepest bass is more extended....
I would also describe these tubes as fast. Lead edge transients are crisper, this enhances detail and improves spatial definition. Ambient cues like studio or hall reflections are revealed more clearly. There is clearly more air or better separation between instruments in the stage. Width, height and depth of soundstage is better.
In summary, I am very happy with these tubes. Tonal range is extended at both frequency extremes, tonal balance remains neutral. I appreciate that the price may be objectionable, just let me put it in perspective – for me, in my system, the cost benefit ratio works. I have spent more on other upgrades with less of an improvement. [more]
