Shane Taylor:
Introducing Shane Taylor to the Audio Reference Co Team opened the door to the design and installation of full Automation and Multi Room sound and lighting.

From a very young age Shane tampered with recording equipment, even before starting an Apprenticeship in the Electrical Trade in 1977. For many years Shane followed his passion as a singer song writer touring NZ, America and Europe, recorded 5 albums and owner operated a recording studio. He then worked in retail selling mid to high end Audio and was later employed to design Home Automation and Multi Room Audio. His collective knowledge and industry experience is invaluable for solving the trickiest problems or fact-finding to design the ultimate system to suit you.

Shane has a soft, friendly approach which is always appreciated in this ever-busy world. He still performs his music and operates a recording studio in his spare time. He has just released his latest 5th Album. Music and how music should sound will always be the most important quality to the total solution. Listening to you with the requirements of how the system will look, fit into the décor, how and who will be operating it are all important elements of a good design. Some like large towering speakers and others prefer everything to be hidden. Some modern homes require very rigid design features to enable this to happen. "Do it once, do it right, before the home is completed," is Shane's advice.

The way we watch and receive TV picture has changed significantly, and to our advantage. High Definition picture has meant a complete rethink of how the cable structure will offer 1080p to your lovely expensive large screen or projector. Cable run lengths and quality are the essence. Future proofing your system along with the ease of routing and switching this is a major part of multi room design.

Shane can offer systems to fit your budget and more importantly it will be easy to operate and it will operate every day. If you do get the time after all that is done, Shane could talk for hours about Mountain Biking and some of the amazing expeditions he has done in Europe, Nepal and the States. Adam came to us with a sharp young mind totally in tune with today’s IT based knowledge of Hard Drive Music Storage systems, Controlled Lighting, Programmable Colour Touch Panels, Learner Remotes and much more.

Adam is skilled and trained in many of today’s best control systems including, Control4, Pronto, Axium/Vantage, Xantech, Speakerb craft, Niles, Netstreams and is always keen to learn a new system.

Often systems are now operating on Wifi, Bluetooth, IR and RF Wireless networks within your home. Adam can evaluate the most suitable and reliable solution to provide an easy end-user control point. Unfortunately too many systems are over designed and become difficult and unreliable in use.

Adam worked with Shane previously and as a team player Shane constantly relies on his IT skills, his "can do," friendly nature and all round pleasant demeanour. Audio Reference is pleased to have Adam as part of our team.
