For more than 30 years, the AURUM models have been the top-of-the-line in the quadral product range because of their sound and total quality and have acquired an excellent reputation internationally.
The ORKAN III is a selected member of Quadrals High End AURUM loudspeaker range with unique ribbon tweeter, and exclusive ALTIMA® (aluminium, titanium and magnesium) mid/bass drivers in compresion chamber / bass reflex. No one who is impressed by our AURUM TITAN, VULKAN and MONTAN technology, but has less space in the listening chamber or living room, needs to do without the superb characteristics of our premium upright speakers.Like the three larger models, quadral’s AURUM ORKAN VIII intricately combines bass reflex and pressure-chamber technology for rich, clean bass.
With a frequency range up to 65 kHz, it brings a radiant sheen to all DVD audio and SACD software and is based on innovative technologies like quadral’s ALTIMA® and ribbon tweeters. Intricate frequency separating filters and bi-wiring terminals with gold connectors round out the technical profile of this gem of sound. For its size, its performance capabilities are incredible: a 160-watt nominal capacity and 250 watts of music muscle leave power to spare amidst high dynamics.
With the Aurum Orkan VII, quadral has just lifted a new high-end speaker out of the cradle – a speaker that is equipped with the hereditary disposition of Aurum Montan and Aurum Vulkan. The specialities of these top models are the pressure chamber chamber construction of the enclosure providing an abysmal fast and clean bass and its patented extremely accurate Aurum Altima® Cones for the entire fundamental tone range. A further decisive element is the swift ribbon tweeter for the finest high-range brilliance and its elaborate and minutely worked-out crossovers. Another typical feature of the Aurum family from quadral is the real wood and high-gloss lacquered enclosure handmade in Germany.
The AURUM ORKAN VIII makes the case for its unique character as either a stereo unit or a front speaker in a multi-channel system. Its available colours include high-gloss lacquer in black or white, as well as genuine wood veneers, the standard colour avaiable in New Zealand is the enticing Oak Choco.
