Chisto Disk Analoguer-Plain side disk conditioner SACD/CD/Blu-ray/DVD disks
Chisto Disk Analoguer Enhancement System :
Makes CDs sound analogue, DVDs show in full colors and sound, and absolute must for BLU-RAYs due to its data density.
Application is simple. Spray from bottle on disk surface and wipe off with included Evolon® cloth until dry.
Rick Becker recommended our products in his "A Hannu-Christma-Boxer-Kwanzaa Story .Mini reviews of powerful gift ideas."
Rick is really smart guy - he noted that just treating your disk with Disk Analoguer equals throwing 2000-3000 in hardware in your audio setup. Thank you, Rick, for announcing our main idea :-)
"It was as if each CD had been transformed into an expensive Re-mastered Gold Edition. Or on the hardware side, as if the Calyx DAC I have in for review was magically reincarnated as a Berkley Alpha DAC. That's a difference of $3200, making the return on investment HUGE!"
Well...never say never until you really have tried it. We have tried all kinds of silver disc treatment products over the past two decades. Green pens, disc demagnetizers, rubber mats, cleaners, etc. Some worked and some didn't. Let just say that the ones that do were like magic, which leaves you with "wow.." and then "...but how!?!". We believe it's much to do with laser and reading errors where material science can actually reduce them, and produce a cleaner signal with better timing before feeding the digital to analog converter. Remember, in music - timing is everything and errors just do not help.
Chisto is a specialist based in the Ukraine and we have been hearing good things about their Disk Analoguer and Black Analoguer. Hifi-world magazine said " ...it's easy to use, treats a great many disks and using it can produce a smoother sound."
Magic? No
Because even new disks are dirty and covered with MRA (Mould Release Agent) . So reading errors, so extra stress on your DAC, so digital artifacts and irritating sound. So simple. So big result. Your system become to sound more analogue. So strange... We still wonder. Try.
What is included:
100 ml natural spray bottle
Evolon® polishing cloth (washable and reusable)
Why Chisto? You listen to:
CD
Sound really becomes more comfortable like analogue. More articulated bass, soft mids with higher resolution and silky highs. Works great on all classes of audio equipment – from budger DVD player to high-end gear.
SACD / DVD-A
Same as CD. Higher record density makes our treatment a must.
MP3
Treat you CD before importing into your MP3 library (iTunes, for example) and you will wonder of the sound of this controversial audio format.
You watch:
DVD
Much better picture. Much. Looks like someone upgraded you TV from 50 Hz to 200. Deeper colors. More bass. Overall impression – everything more lively.
BLU-RAY
Same as DVD. Deeper black is an extra. A must for this very high density format, No more skips or problems on budget players.

Just fond of music and movies - Better sound. Better picture. More pleasure.
Pro - Treat your CD-R before recording. Much, much better
DJ - Better sound
Why do we have to clean disks?
Disks come dirty from the factory. With microscopic parts of oils and dust. This is true. There is no cleaning in production circle. And even new disks come covered with silicon-like grease called MRA (Mould Release Agent) that helps disk to come out easily from press.
It means that you used to listen and see only distorted version of artists’ work.
Cleaner disk- beter optical resolution -better laser reading - less stress on DAC. Less irritating digital artifacts.
Why do we have to condition label side of disks?
Best explanations is written by John Roger from Ringmat:
“During play, a CD revolves at a very high speed in a closed and dry environment. At the same time, the drive motors and digital circuitry generate a lot of heat. These factors combined precipitate a gradual build-up of electrostatic fields. The static does not cover the CD evenly, but rather appears in the shape of low-voltage hot spots randomly spread over the disc's surface. The fields rapidly increase and intensify as the CD is played.
The digital circuitry inside a CD player reads the information captured on the disc via a laser beam. The information is stored in digital form as binary (effectively, a series of zeros and ones). It interprets these numbers and converts them into an analogue signal, which is then sent to the loudspeakers. When static builds up on the CD, it can interfere with the interpretation of the digital information. This means that, when the digital-to-analogue conversion takes place, an impaired signal is produced.
Essentially, therefore, the signal is suffering from distortion. Electrostatic build-up introduces continuous electrical vibration, resulting in phase changes. If strong enough, this vibration can cause the phase to shift 45o, 90o or even higher and could make the absolute phase appear inverted.
These phase anomalies can affect the timing of the music, with disastrous consequences on the quality of the reproduction. The timing of notes is crucial to the experience of music. To our ear, timing represents texture, dynamics and distance. It is the signature which musicians put on their music and which allows us to recognise a piece as being performed by them. During playback, certain knowledge of a piece of music leads to expectation of what comes next. If it is slightly out of time, our musical experience is compromised. An accurate, phase- coherent signal is therefore essential for musical enjoyment and appreciation of the performance.”
Competition:
There are a lot of cleaning solutions on market. Mostly they make one mistake - try to condition polycarbonate data surface instead of superior cleaning. That’s why - none or non-significant results.
We clean and polish surface. With fantastic result. We call it CLARMAX. You will enjoy music and movies.
Evolon® polishing cloth;
We started with microfiber cloth. It was OK. Until we met blond. From Germany. Her name was Evolon®. White like paper. With much better polishing results.
Even better?
Some audiophiles with elephant-lend-ears have the following tweak that “makes sugar more sweet”:
Process CD with DIsk Analoguer
Process CD with deionized water
Demagnetize CD with tape heads demag (a lot on ebay)
Process CD with Black Analoguer
Enjoy better sound.
Reviews
Better focus led to greater transparency. The delicate nuances of vocals and the decay of instrumental notes revealed textures where none had been before. Listening was a lot closer to Being There. It was as if each CD had been transformed into an expensive Re-mastered Gold Edition. Or on the hardware side,
High-end audio is usually a hobby of self-indulgence. It is rare that your significant other or family members would know what you want or need even if they wanted to further your quest for musically induced bliss. And forget that 135 pound amplifier. Santa isn't as young as he used to be and OSHA now has size and weight restrictions as to what he can carry and what will fit down the chimney. Add to that, the Elves are now unionized and inflation is over 8% for 2011 alone! To help you out I've made a list of products that have crossed my listening room during the past year which fall into the category of realistic expectation for gift requests, plus or minus... depending on whether you are still employed. If not, spin the music with what you've got and love the one you're with. Love is the greatest song you can sing. So print out this list and star the items you'd like. Then leave it laying around where that certain someone will stumble upon it and let the magic of Christmas work out the rest. If this methodology fails, take charge of your life again on December 26th. It should go without saying that I highly recommend all of them.
Black Analoguer & Disk Analoguer
First come the Black Analoguer and its companion Disk Analoguer, possibly from a company called Chisto. Who knows? They come from my friend Jean-Pierre in Montreal. Two 100ml (3.4 fluid ounce) spray bottles of clear liquid that are essentially liquid DACs for CDs, DVDs, SACD and Blu-Ray discs. You give one spray of the Black Analoguer to the label side and one spray of the Disk Analoguer to the silver side, wiping the spray from the center hole toward the edge of the disc with a special Evolon cloth that is both washable and reusable until the surface is dry. No, it does not convert your silver discs into black LPs, but it sure sounds that way. Shaking the bottles creates tiny soap-like bubbles inside, suggesting a surfactant for whatever the liquid is. The Black Analoguer is probably designed not to dissolve the label — I didn't test this theory.
But if you're wondering if you could get away with just the Disc Analoguer and forego the Black stuff on the label side, I did some comparisons. After listening to the untreated CD I sprayed the Disk Analoguer side only and listened again. There was a substantial improvement with just treating the silver side of the disc. Then I treated the label side with the Black Analoguer and listened again. It does indeed provide more improvement, but not twice as good. The law of diminishing returns sets in. Then I reversed the test with another CD, listening first then treating the label side only. Again, there was a substantial improvement. Then I treated the silver side, and again experienced improvement, but not violating the law of diminishing returns. Thereafter I treated both sides of each CD after sampling songs from the untreated disc. Every time the music became more analog-like, leaving only the benefits of digital to enjoy. Better focus led to greater transparency. The delicate nuances of vocals and the decay of instrumental notes revealed textures where none had been before. Listening was a lot closer to Being There. It was as if each CD had been transformed into an expensive Re-mastered Gold Edition. Or on the hardware side, as if the Calyx DAC I have in for review was magically reincarnated as a Berkley Alpha DAC. That's a difference of $3200, making the return on investment HUGE! Not bad for a product that basically removes mold release agent, fingerprints and static. (I didn't test for peanut butter and jelly). These bottles will fit into your Christmas stocking very nicely and you will be hard pressed to pull yourself away from the music for Christmas dinner.
Jean-Pierre tells me Chisto also offers Easy Groove, a great anti-static and cleaning solution for vinyl which might also be worth trying.
