Featuring the 274B rectifier tube that designer Junichi Yamazaka chose over many others for it's heavy dose of midrange magic.

For added flexibility, there is a four-band frequency equilizer with center frequencies of 150hz, 400hz, 2khz, and 10khz that can be relay activated of deactivated with the remote control.

Fully tube-regulated filament voltages and B+ power supply.

Dick Olsher said in the TAS:  "The TRX-1 boogies along with plenty of dynamic conviction  and is extremely good with timing information, generating an infectious enthusiasm for the music." He goes on to say "In particular, it captures the interplay between musicians to an extent that is rare or even exceeds that of preamps costing much more. Consider it a must-audition if your priority is to simply enjoy the music."

A recommended upgrade to maximise the TRX-1 potential would be in replacement tubes to preferably 5751s.
