EXPOSURE S2 RELEASE:
Late in 2010 Exposure released their new enhanced S2 series which has taken a significant step forward over the previous S1 series. It would be well worth your while to come along and audition for yourself the Exposure difference.

Exposure Electronics has been committed towards engineering real hi-fi at real world prices since 1974. Back then, the original Exposure products were born out of founder John Farlowe’s obsession for excellent reproduction of recorded music, having worked in studios with the likes of David Bowie and Pink Floyd.

Much may have changed in 33 years but good hi-fi is still all about hair-raising and spine-tingling listening experiences. Accordingly through the years, Exposure’s focus has remained very much on delighting the ears, so to speak.

Upgrades and Enhancements include:

On all components the model number is now removed from front panel, allows better visual integration of the two series so they can be used together. Silver models have Blue LED and display windows & Black models have Red LEDS and display windows

2010S2 CD player: - Blue power LED fitted to silver units now matching to 3010S2 models

2010S2 Integrated amplifier: - Blue power LED for silver units. Modified power amplifier section. Input selection by relays rather than mechanical switch. Much simpler input tracking on pcb. Input selection shown by LED on front panel Better sound quality.

3010S2 Pre Amplifier:
Pre amplifier section used from the outgoing Classic 35 integrated but with input selection by relays rather than mechanical switch. Much simpler input tracking on pcb. Input selection shown by LED on front panel. Using casing and power supply of 2010S2 integrated. Can be fitted with 3010S/S2 phono MM or MC boards.

3010S2 Mono Power Amplifier:
Using casework and power supply of 3010S2 stereo power amplifier but with power amplifier derived from MCX power amplifier.

High capacity custom-made toroidal power transformer and power supply capacitors
Improved all-aluminium casework and extruded front panel to control resonance and stray electro-magnetic fields
High quality capacitors used in the signal path
Uniquely tuned short signal and power supply path PCB
Cascode circuitry utilised for improved power supply immunity
Sanken bipolar output transistors for dynamics and performance
Better bass and transparancy then the older S1 series.
Now uses relays for input switching. Separate pre-amp output
Bi-wiring compatible
Full-function remote control

Clients comment:
I coupled the integrated to a pair of laid-back but bass-disciplined AE209 speakers and both sings with musicality. Smooth overall presentation but yet dynamic in the bass and clearly detailed and balanced with vocals and treble. Always impressive with difficult music passages. A very live in concert/studio experience if matched well with other sources and components.
